Forest bathing is a way of immersing yourself in nature and doesn't have anything to do with swimming or going into water! Forest bathing started in Japan where it is known as Shinrin Yoku. Forest bathing offers many health benefits including relaxation and stress reduction. And what better time to go into the woods than in the autumn?!
Kathryn is trained in a forest bathing method from Finland called Forest Mind (Metsämieli). Kathryn works as a coach and ecotherapy practitioner. She brings different threads together - environmental sustainability, coaching, mindfulness, nature art and ecopsychology - to offer her own approach to ecotherapy.
She helps people develop new ways of being in the world. By connecting with nature, we can heal ourselves and make change in the world. You can try this approach during the Brussels Slow Walks Weekend.
